I've established this log to recount the sights, sounds, stories, and flavours of my trip. Three days before my departure, I have butterflies of anticipation in my stomach. It's been wonderful to dream about this vacation; discovering a new physical and mental space. I'm looking forward to so much!
I can't wait to see my good friend Dave Moore who is in London for school this semester. I'm looking forward to the fashion extravegance, the chirpy British accents, and the music of all varities. I'm sure it will be amusing to notice the cultural differences between us. After a very long year of school and a tough finish, I've got sociology on the brain, but I'm looking forward to relaxing and celebrating the end of my semester. Speaking of celebrating, I'm sure I'll be sampling many fine alcoholic spirits of the region like Bass and Boddingtons in England, and Tenents from Scotland! (Not forgetting the hundreds of scotches as well!) There's more to tasting that drinks, the list is long and includes tasty treats like fish and chips, high tea, mushy peas, and haggis that will be wonderful to experience again.
Travelling will be a little different this time because I am going by myself. Although I will have the company of my hilarious and free-spirited friend, Mr. Moore, I've never before planned such an independent journey. I can't wait to see where I go! I am ready for anything and everything!
