On our way to the the ferry port, Uig, on the north east end of Skye we heard a classic Scottish tale about Flora MacDonald and Bonnie Prince Charlie. It was a funny story about how the prince had to dress up as a woman to pass through the sentry guards.  I wish I could remember more of the history.  I'm reading Whisky Galore, which is well suited to my surroundings.  It's very funny but I'm not sure about factual.
Uig has a fantastic campground (best we've seen in all of Scotland).  The proprietor of the campground recommended that we walk to the Faery Glenn which was very strange and magical.  We had lovely weather and beautiful views of the skies (both of them!)
