The weekend temperature got very cold quickly and the ice on Lake Ontario froze as the most perfectly flat and clear skating rink I've ever seen. Skating/gliding was just beautiful! Everyone was a little cautious at first because the ice was as clear as water and we could see right down to the sand, rocks, weeds, and occasional tire or shipwreck (using your imagination) that lay on the bottom.
We skated right out to one of the islands, Milton.
