"Drove back to town this morning
with workin' on my mind
I thought I might be quittin'
thought of leavin' it behind
Went back to bed this morning
and as I'm pulling down the blind
the sky was dull
and falling one cloud at a time...
It was in Bobcaygeon
where I saw the constellations
one star at a time..."
Here is The Song:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofChsLBfBp0
All I knew of Bobcaygeon was the song by The Tragically Hip. The tree of us rocked up into this small tourist town for lunch. This is where the first lock on the Trent Severn water system was built in 1834. The town itself ws founded in 1832 by a British emigrant, Thomas Need. The word Bobcaygeon is from the Missassauga Indian language for 'shallow rapids'. I read all this information on the menu at a pub called Lock 32. The food was awesome but they charged us extra to have salad instead of fries, we felt a bit scammed. There are lots of little shops that sell expensive brand name clothes, it reminded me of Wasaga Beach a little. When we finished our lunch it was pouring down rain. We tried to wait it out, Erica bought some expensive rain pants, but eventually we had to continue on even in the rain. I would love to come back here on a sunny summer day.
