Syracuse is only a short three hours away and there are some good radio stations to keep you company for the drive if you're going alone. The only hindrance is that you never know what the line will be like at the border. Sometimes the lines can be backed so far up you want to turn around and its always nerve racking to get the third degree by the agent. The scenery on the other side has a lot more billboards and open fields. The rock cut along the highway is different colour and size. Watch out if you're speeding, patrols show no mercy! I always catch a glance of these huge crow statues just at the last minute as I drive by, if anyone ever catches this scene on film, I'd love a copy of the photo.
