4. In Ottawa (once called Bytown), we went to The Rideau Centre. We saw the photography museum (reccomended) and biked down Sussex Drive past the Canadian Mint, the Peace Monument, the govenor generals' house, Stephen Harper's house, and the foreign affairs building. We took a stroll through a park that was once a cemetary. The Edmonton Oilers lost the Stanley Cup to the Carolina Hurricaines. Homemade pasta dinner for all in preperation for the long ride home.

Day 5: Back on the road; bike bike bike. Kemptville for picnic lunch by the water and a little nap on the park lawn. We stayed at Burrits Rapids Locks, probably the best town of any for imagination! All the boaters were very nice and chatty. There is a trail that runs along a thin island called The Tip to Tip. The path is lined with interesting and rare flowers and at the far end we had a good stretch at the rushing rapids. The town of Burrits Raipds seems completely preserved in history. This place has been barely touched by tourists even though every house is a landmark. The church is architecturally unique and there are lot of cats prowling the empty streets.
