The day was glorious. We can feel spring coming. All the ice and snow is melting. I took a walk to Lake Ontario Park this afternoon. There were many other people (and very happy dogs) out enjoying the day!
Our walk took us along King Street, past the prison and the harbour, past the old psychiatric hospital, into Lake Ontario Park. We mostly stuck to the trails because the grass is so wet and muddy. Sometimes we went down along the limestone water's edge. There were tons of ducks playing in the water between the icebergs.
On the way back we made our way through 'the village' which has many historic limestone houses. We stopped at the swings, which was fun. I can't say for sure if this is the real spring, I have a feeling that at least one last winter storm has yet to come. That makes these warm temperatures and sunny skies all the more something to savour.
