Wow, what a wonderful surprise to have three snow days off work in August! We sure celebrated- probably the best time I had with friends in Kananskis. There were great meals, a new pet mouse named 'navidav', card games like Sociables, even a couple gifts exchanged. What a great time.
The mountains sure have a different look with snow on them. Winter never could be as glorious withough snowflakes on evergreens. On the first day a few boys and I threw snowballs at each other along our walk to the edge of the ridge. The snow was falling so heavily that we could hardly see the golf course in the valley below us.
On the fourth day it stopped snowing and a few of us went back to work to clean up all the trees and branches that had fallen from the weight of the snow. The snow did not stay much longer but after that the trees started to turn fall colours very suddenly.
