We just arrived in the biggest city on our travels yet, Winnipeg! It seems really nice so far, lots of murals and colourful painted signs. The sun is shining and all the liscence plates say "Friendly Manitoba".
We are going to take an historical walking tour of The Forks, which runs along Assinaboine River. The landscape along the road has flattened out dramatically since we crossed the proviincial border between Ontario and Manitoba. There are lots of fresh fruit stands but everything seems to be from Washingston (???).
I'm glad we're here for a rest and to stretch our legs because I was gettting a bit sick of listening to CDs for hours and hours on end. Today I started reading a book aloud by after about 60 pages my throat was dry so we put on more music. We've gone over 2200km now.
The sun is shining and the weather is good.

Hey there Lolly, thanks for the idea of using this site to record my travels. I never would have known had you not turned me on to it. I look forward to reading more of your entries. Good to hear you were able to experience The PEG, my old hometown.

Happy Trails
