Well, we didn't make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and New Orleans for Ash Wednesday just doesn't have the same ring so we changed our game plan. We drove from the middle of Kansas and through Oklahoma today, listening to spanish music and dreaming of Tex Mex cuisine. When we got into Texas and the weather was really warm and sunny we thought it was a nice place to stay for a while. We found a hotel and took a day to break from driving to rest and relax and soak up the Texan sun next to the pool!
