And the journey continues!... The TransCanada Highway has been amazingly scenic for the past 600km but for some reason we've been really tired today so we quit for the night in Thunder Bay.
Today we saw a black bear climbing the sandy slope of a hillside. It was cute! We also saw some strange birds that I never knew existed - they looked like herons but they were brown with red heads and they were walking in the forest in a group of four or five. I found out they're called Sandhill Cranes - I tried to capture them on camera.
We ate THE MOST AMAZING Indian food at "Masala Grill" and I think I would drive the 1600km from home just to eat there!!! Seriously, it's worth coming to Thunder Bay for!! Now we are fed and full. There is an island in Lake Superior called Sleeping Giant because it looks like an enormous man laying on his back in the water. I am dreaming of sleeping as soundly as that stone giant, surrounded with today's images of Lake Superior. zzzzzzz.

Great pics, I liked the pictographs when we travelled through last.
Lotsa love!
Thanks! It was a little tricky getting used to my new camera
though, the scenery was more beautiful than these photos
show. The water was an incredible blue!
