As we approached Regina I opened my window on the plane. It was
soooo beautiful. Picture this, it is completely dark. At
the bottom of the scene is a small amount of scattered lights. To
the upper right is a half cresent moon that is a slightly orange
colour. In the middle of the scene are the most beautiful
swirling blue and green northern lights and above them are hundreds of
scattered stars including the constellation Casiopea. I wish I
could have gotten a good picture of it, but it was just too dark.
We landed in Regina around 9:30pm Regina time (5:30am Sunday Rome time,
so we had been up for 23 hours by this point!). Our next door
neighbour Clarence was waiting to pick us up. Our luggage came
out quickly and we headed home. It was a good thing Clarence had
a truck because we had a lot of stuff!
We got home and unpacked a little bit. We were starving since we
hadn't eatten since the plane ride to Toronto. Carla really
wanted to drive, so we drove over to McDonalds and picked up
food. I fell asleep both there and back!
We ate our burgers and went to sleep. What an incredibly long day!!!
