I moved to Uspallata, a small village in the Andes. On the way the bus was delayed by an oil truck crash, people got crazy trying to get the most oil bottles possible. Then I saw people throwing away some of them because their car couldn't go up the road because of the weight!
I met Maria, from Sweden, in the bus. We were going to the same hostel, 5 km before the town center, so the driver left us at the supposed place of the hostel...it was at night and completely dark, there was nothing around us, not even a light... after 5 min wondering what we should do, we saw a little light coming towards us. It was the owner of the hostel telling us that there was no electricity anymore, saved!.
The next day we rented a bike with Maria. In the early afternoon it was snowing, when the day before I was suffocating of heat in Mendoza. The second part of the day was much better and we could appreciate the beautiful landscapes of the Andes.
