Our first climbing in Ecuador!  We took a bus about 3 hours to a small town called Cuyuja, which not even people from Quito know about.  There´s really no reason to stop there except for the climbing.  We got off the bus, hiked down through town, past a soccer field (a requirement for all latin american towns, duh), across a river, then onto somebody´s spongey, muddy land, and up to the rock.  It took us a little while to actually find some climbs we could do, and once Logan got almost all the way to the top of the first climb, he found that he couldn´t do the rest of the climb.  A piece of gear may still be up there at the second to last bolt, where Logan had to rappel down.  As soon as he got to the ground, it started raining.  Well, poo.  What a great birthday for Logan!

We went back into town and had a nice hot lunch at the only place in town, then flagged down a bus back into Quito.
