A couple nights ago, or maybe it was yesterday my friend steve sent me a psalm to think about for my trip and i?ve decided to make it something that i?m going to turn to every morning and pray for, so if you would pray the same for me that would be awesome: "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the <most <high will rest in the shadow of the almighty. They say of the Lord, ?He is my refuge and my fortress my God, in whom I trust.? Surely he will save you from the fowler?s snare and fromt he deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulnes will be your shielf and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.   A thousand mya fall at your side, ten thousand at yoru right hand, but it will not come near you. <you will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.   If you say, ?The Lord is my refuge,? and you make the most high your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard yo uin all your ways񼯤iv> they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. <you will tread ont he lion and the cobra񠹯u will trample the great lion and the serpent.   ?Because they love me? says the Lord, I will protect them, for they acknowledge my name. They will call on me, and i will answer them I will be with them in trouble, I will deliver them and honor them With long life i will satisfy them and show them my salvation.?   psalm 91   please pray that i will continue to find my shelter in the most high and and make the lord my refuge :)   ok, so as for what i?ve been up to so far.. pretty much just on the road. i left san diego at 634 am, got to cancun via phoenix at 245 (1245 san diego time), took a bus to playa de carmen, stayed there for 10 minutes, got some elote with queso and chile.. mm.. and then hopped back on a bus to head towards tulum! i met a few cool people on the bus who gave me some helpful advice.. and of course like everyone else has been telling me.. be careful! don?t worry i will be.:) i also met a girl named bell from australia who is staying at the weary traveler hostel with me.. it?s a pretty sweet deal here.. twelve dollars to share a dorm room (6 bunks in a room), free bus to the beach, free internet, free clean water, and the tourist center located right in the middle.. plus there?s hammocks outside and a great atmosphere.. and super nice people.. and they have music ipod exchange going on that i?m gonna try to get in on.. and camille and kate you?ll love this.. i met a group from buenos aires!! we are goin back next year.. but back to this trip..   the ride here was nice. i was talking to someone who was staying at one of the resorts and he made an interesting observation.. the ground here is really dry but it is so lush with vegetaion.. i was fortunate to figure out why! so there?s a bunch of good scuba places called cenotes, and i think from what i got this is a type of limestone that especially abundant in the yucatan, and what it does is creates underground rivers, which is why it?s so green here!! i thought that that was pretty cool.. and at some spots there are small lakes formed with aquatic life.. i am so excited to snorker (def. think bringing my own snorkel was a good idea)   another interesting observation, when i started my trip from playa de carmen, the bus was filled with gringos, which is totally fine. but by the time we passed into town it was filled with native people. it?s interesting how one side of town can have totally different social demographics than another. i like this side of town better. it just feels more real.   that?s pretty much it for now.. oh wait.. i was going to make an online site through flickr to upload fotos for everyone, but it?s too slow!! so i?m putting them on facebook.. unless someoene has another site they want to suggest? let me know. if you have facebook you can look me up on www.facebook.com with the email addess: michelle_ericson@yahoo.com and see my fotos.. if not i?m sorry but you?ll have to wait.. i?ll try to attach a few when i get more.. :)   oh and please pray that i finish my online econ class ok!! only a few more days, but i didnt realize how hard it would be to concentrate on it!!   God bless, love, michelle   ps if you?re interested on reading something in the bible, i studies revelations today:revelations 2 and 3 has the discriptions of the seven churches. which ones do you relate to? and what?s something that God might want you to look at and examine that just doesnt quiete fit the picture of what he wants for you based on who you relate to?
