If you want to skip the preliminaries of Mexico City and the visit to the monarch butterflies at El Rosario then go to the first of the 23 destinations which can be found in Blogs No. 137 and 138 - Tequisquiapan - What a Great Start.

Background:
Our trip to Mexico was inspired by a desire to avoid the winter months in Canada by spending some time in Mexico.
The question then became where would be a good place in Mexico to spend those winter months.
An article by Suzan Haskins in International Living entitled "16 Places in Mexico to Live Very Well on Very Little" was the "coup d'envoie" which launched us on our 42-day discovery trip in search of "Destinations to Spend the Winter Months".
You can find the article at the International Living website (www.internationalliving.com) and doing a search for the number "16".
Our great trip ended on January 24, 2009 and I can now report that our search took us to ten of the destinations mentioned in the article plus 13 other destinations for a total of 23.
The purpose of this blog is to share the information we discovered, in writing and particularly in photographs.
