Loved it here so much!
We arrived in shorts and tshirts, only to be welcomed by some very cold weather! Not usually a fan of this, but it was such a relief after coming from a very hot Venice! Weird to be wearing as little as a bikini one day, and to be rugged up the next.
Our hostel was very central - just down the road from the bear pits, and anything else really.
I think we just tried to avoid the rain and eat toblerone on our first afternoon.
The following day was spent finding Albert Einsteins house (but not bothering to go in, figuring there wasnt much of a need) and peering over the bear pits. Pretty dire place for them, but apparently theyre being moved to a PARK soon. Goodo.
That night we went on a hunt for some cheese fondue with some people from the hostel. Wasnt cheap, nor as nice as Id hope. Lewis had some rosti which was nicer. It occurred to be during dinner that neither of us knew most of our fellow diners names. Oops. But thats how it is all the time - you learn someones life story THEN remember to introduce yourself.
I dont think we did much else really? Such clean and welcoming place. And SO easy to be there - Anywhere in Italy, the easiest things became a nightmare... Looking forward to going back to Switzerland one day!!
