Hello!
I'm loving life. Bermuda is beautiful! Tough start missing my flight out but all is well now. Our temporary housing is great. I'm staying in a three bed, three bath apartment with a full kitchen and a flat screen. I wish I could rent this place! I will be living with a Brit named Emma and a South African named Erica. We found a 3 bed/2 bath place centrally located on the island, we are in the process of signing a lease. PwC provided a rental scooter for the first month of my employment but I'm going to buy a new one soon as the 2007 models are only on spcecial through August. I'm getting a SYM Mio, pretty much like a generic Vespa. I love crusing around on my scooter it's so much fun!
I started with a group of 14 so we pretty much hang out all the time. The breakdown at PwC is something like UK, Canada, South Africa, Filipino and then American. Also there are a lot of couples who come to the island together. I was somewhat surprised to learn that but it makes sense to experience it with someone. I've been told that there are 1100 accountants on the island, that's a lot considering a population of 60K! And the GDP per capita is at 75K vs the US' 45K.
I've been to the beach closest to where I am staying twice and layed out by the pool a lot so I have a nice tan. I haven't been to the big beaches yet, but were going to Church Bay tomorrow to go snorkeling...and I'm working on pictures!
