We got up early this day and took a bus to Urubamba.  Took a taxi to our ecolodge which was VERY deep in the valley toward the mountains.  Very pretty.  Surrounded by trees, a stream, mountains.  They have pet guinea pigs, geese, a rabbit and two really cool dogs.  The lady that greeted us when we got there was extremely unfriendly and we contemplated leaving.  We later found out from the actual owner that the lady is his ex-wife, and that they still live on the same grounds (in separate houses), but that she wants nothing at all to do with the hotel.  We also talked to another guest that was staying there that she was treated rudely by the lady as well.  At least it wasn't just us!  We walked all the way to town (quite a long way!) and ate at a place called The Muse, Too.  Serves comfort food from all over the world.  And the most amazing OJ I've ever had.  I got veggie curry.  Yum.  We walked around town for a while, bought some pastries for breakfast, and took a taxi home.  Arranged a horseback ride for the next morning.  Will found several huge spiders in the room and we spent most of the night planning how to get rid of them.  We couldn't tell if they were brown recluses or wolf spiders.  We also got to make a fire in our fireplace in our room.  That was fun.
