Where I stayed
Well first in studio Nina gives us a project to do and no one knows what the hell she is talking about. She instructs us to create a 'geometric' dress for the wooden mannequin with a stripped piece of fabric. While explaining this she is just swooshing around the material and not really even speaking words. People keep asking here what she means, but she keeps repeating herself and never really makes any sense haha. We finally just talk amongst ourselves and put together some ideas of what the hell she is talking about. That's pretty much all we did during studio. It was cut short because we went with our professors to their son's law school graduation! Haha this was awesome. I'm really glad we got to see the ceremony... old men were all dressed up with official fur cloak things, staffs, thrown things... the whole 9 yards. It wasn't a big class so it didn't last that long. Good thing because the whole thing was in Czech, no one knew what was going on and people started dozing. I'm pretty sure the camera man got some good shot of that. Carl, Nina's son didn't even know we were coming to the graduation- which made it a little awkward... seeing as we'd never met him before. She even had us all take a photo together with him HAHA.
After the graduation we had to rush back for Czech class. We grabbed some yummy stuffed spinach pizza on the way to temporarily satisfy out stomachs. It felt like it had been sooo long since I was in Czech class because I'm a little rusty. There are so many damn rules and a total of 14 cases! Ugh, craziness. By the end of class we just started talking about communism in Prague. It was very interesting hearing what Lanka (my Czech prof) had to say about it.
So after Czech class was supposed to be fashion history. Well Ladislav told us we would just have 'studio' instead... which really meant we weren't having class. He planned to have a little party for after the graduation. We thought Carl was coming too, but he wasn't. So we had champagne with the profs... even some refreshments. Then we talked a bit, looked at photos from Paris, and ended class early for spring break. Whoop whooppp!
When I got back to the pension it was a bit earlier than usual (because I stay in studio foreverrr). I dilly-dallied around for a bit and then packed my travel pack fullll of dirty clothes to take to the laundromat. I really needed to do laundry, everything was starting to smell realllly bad. So I scribbled directions on my hand and off I went. After finally stumbling upon this place I walk in and the lady tells me I can't wash my clothes because it was 7:10pm and they close at 8pm... it wouldn't be enough time. Whatever biaaa- last time they stayed open a little longer for us. Oh well, so out the door I went with my super heavy pack still full of dirty clothes. I bought some waffer cookies to solve my pain :) haha Waffer cookies make everything better, it's a fact.
Waffer cookies :)
nasty lotion and dead skin from the tanning bed (bad I know).
Teen's TV shows playing off in the distance on her computer while she shuffles around packing for Budapest.
Tick tock, tick tock... the clock is very loud when no one is hanging out in the common area.
Empty couches and an InStyle mag left behind on the coffee table screaming to be read.
Feet proped up on the table and the soft cushions of the couch nuzzling my bum.
Now I'm all geared up for Budapest, I CANNOT wait! :)
