Well yesterday seemed pretty uneventful until night... I pretty much slept all day long. I wanted to wake up early to go to church with Christine and everyone, but my sinuses were making me feel like crap... plus when she asked me if I wanted to go I answered in my dream with a 'no' haha. Oh well I definitely want to go next time. I've never been to a Catholic Mass before, so I'm pretty excited to check it out.

We took another super long nap so we would be well rested to go out and watch the Super bowl. It didn't start here till 1am, and we had reservations at this sports bar for 10pm. We were all super excited about it, but when we got there the dumb people didn't actually reserve us a spot! Anyways there were a ton of us and the guy felt pretty bad so he called another place and got us a room. This place was actually really perfect... it was called 'The Pack'! However, the street we had to take to get there was superrrr sketchy. Neon lights and limos with 'strip clubs' advertised... "Sexy Land' seemed to be bumpin, but I made sure to not make any kind eye contact with the creepy dudes standing outside. So we finally made it inside 'The Pack' and we had a whole room in the bottom floor to ourselves! There was writings all over the wall and old 90s sports photos of famous people everywhere... like Shack and Tiger Woods [HAHA!]. Watching the super bowl really made me miss America a little bit, it was weird. I guess just the traditions and stuff... the super bowl really means nothing to the average Czech. It was nice watching something American on TV though... and in English, even though I don't even care that much about TV. They even sold food during the game, which was nice because I was superrrr hungry and hadn't ate anything all day. Plus my experience with getting late night food was not promising. They had a vegetarian sandwich that was described as "vegetarian sandwich with cheese, fresh lettuce, and tomatoes"... so you would think that meant something other than just cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes right?... No. That was it. Oh yeah there was bread too... haha I have no idea they even bothered putting it on the menu. Anyways I think I ordered croquettes like 6 times and finally like 2 hours later she brought it, which was totally satisfying :). Beer was making me a bit tired, so I switched to some good ol' Irish coffee and boy was that goooood. It perked me up a little, and you could sure taste the Jameson in there too. We didn't end up staying till the end of the game because everyone was getting antsy and tired... plus that would have meant staying till like 5am. We took the tram back and it made for a pretty interesting ride.

Today I only had one class... fashion studio. Of course we really didn't learn anything. We designed another dress on our half scale dress forms and had to draw it. Our professors are so random, they showed us these neat fashion shows and then were like "okay, now make something antique"... haha what does that mean. I figured it had something to do with the clips we were watching... and then he was like "you, know with the buttons". We were all like 'okay', but had no idea what was going on. Finally, when Roxanne asked, we realized it had to be something inspired by the Greek dress we learned out in the fashion history class. Jeeze our profs have really taught us nothing. I mean the only way I have learned things is by doing it myself... I mean with practice and such you get better. All we have been doing is draping and pining fabric on the half scale forms and then sketching them. What happens when we have to actually create real dresses and make the patterns? Supposedly there is a seamstress that is going to come in... but does that mean our profs don't know about actual construction and sewing?? Goodness, I'm not really going to stress or rant about it anymore.... the classes have been a lot of fun with all the stuff we are doing, I'm just saying I'd like to learn some things! Anyways so it turns out we are doing some sort of Art to Wear thing with our costumes we have to design. My character is the sun! When we go to the farm or whatever in North Bohemia we are going to put on the play with all 7 characters, create everything, and completely write the script. This shall be lots of fun, but also very interesting.

In the play there is the Sun, Moon, Day/Night, Frost, Water, Wind/Storm, and Fire. The Sun and the Moon are fighting over Day/Night because she inherited all this land... blah blah and what to marry her or whatever. The other characters are part of the Sun and Moon's family (separate families) and they are trying to help them win Day/Night. Anyways there are much more details, but that's kind of a brief synopsis.

After studio I had my first day of yoga class! Anael when all out with a dim light, candles, incense, and the perfect music. Her sweet, soft voice was pretty calming too. I love yoga so much, and it was really nice to get back into it. Unfortunately at the end of the closing relaxation period I felt a cough coming on. We are laying there relaxing every muscle, organ, hair, on our body and here I am spasing because I'm trying to hold back from coughing. Haha it was quite counterproductive... I was just trying to stay quiet though. Oh well, it was still a good session.

After I joined everyone back in studio and we bought out bus tickets to Vienna, Austria this weekend! I am sooooo excited!! It is going to be so beautiful. We are leaving Friday at 10:30am and won't get back till about 5:15am on Monday morning. Good thing I don't have class until 1:30pm on Monday!

Tomorrow (hopefully) we may be going bowling! If the alley is ready then we will get to bowl for free, all we would have to pay for is food and/or drinks! How sweet is that?! I just hope that everything works out and they can open tomorrow for us :).

Another note about today... Simon and Drew got stuff stolen from their room at the pension! Simon's laptop was laying on his little table and we he got back it was gone with just the charger dangling. Drew's wallet was on his night stand and they swiped that too! I feel so so bad for them! It's crazy because yesterday right before I started my nap, Christine was already asleep and someone straight up opened our door, took a step in, saw Christine sleeping, probably saw me on my computer, and walked out. I was so shocked I didn't get to say anything before he walked out. when the door opened I assumed it was one of our friends, but I was wrong and it was totally weird. The same thing happened to this other girl. And then this other girl said she went to the bathroom to blow her nose and when we came back inside someone was hovering over her computer. This is too weird. Now everyone is sketched out and we lock our doors every second we are not in them or go to sleep. Another thing that bothers me is that there is only one key to our room, so we have to leave the key at the front desk... that way I guess the cleaning ladies know we are not in our room and they have a key so they can clean our rooms and such, which is nice... but sometimes there is not alway someone at the front desk watching the keys every second. Plus someone could just walk up and say a room number, get the key, and waltz right into our room. I hide everything now and don't leave anything out, or just lock it in the institute. The thieves here are good, but they don't waste time rummaging through things to look for stuff to steel.

Well I'm off to bed now. Today seemed so long, but I really didn't have a big schedule lol...

Goodnight Moon.
