Well both Nana and I have had a really great sleep until 5.30am , so we sort of muck around until it is time for breakfast at 7.30 . We have to be ready for the coach at 8.45 so we will make sure we are in and out of breakfast as soon as possible .Breakfast is a real feast ,all the cereals, fruit, yogurt, juice and lots of different breads to either toast or have fresh. We eat up and go for our suitcase , Nana by the lift and me walking up two flights of stairs . ReMum Dad and Jaidyn Skype us and we have a little chat before we go down to the coach . Everyone but seven people are ready and then three more turn up . so at 8.50 the driver goes over to the Hotel to get the staff to phone the room that the last family are in . They are still asleep , two adults and two small children about 4&6yrs old . He gives them 10mins to get on the bus and they turn up at 9.05. So we head off then our way to West Midlands Safari Park . We arrive there just before 10am . We spend the first 1 1/2 hours driving slowly, around the Park . What a great place . One of the highlights is when three giraffes come over to the coach and are able to put their heads in the window , also poke their tongue at us ---------unforgettable !!!!!!!!!!!Also to be so close to the white lions, African lions , cheetah, deer , water buffalo ,zebra, and of course the giraffe . After our drive around we have 3 1/2 hours to our selves . During this time we see the penguin show, the reptile display (snakes which were monstrous )and the sea lion show which was really good . Also a walk along the viewing platform to see the hippopotamus in their LAKE , which smelt revolting .We left the Park at 3pm and this time everyone was on time . Have to stop after about 3 1/2 hours so the driver can have a break . Rained nearly all the way home , very very heavy . We were lucky that it did not rain while we were on our trip . Arrived back at Grans after dropping people off at Sunderland , South Shields, Gateshead, Newcastle, Wallsend and then Whitley Bay. The area of Sunderland and also South Shields were very pretty . The country we drove through from Walsall to Kidderminster was beautiful . Sorry I have no photos on my blog ,but when I got home I will update it all with lots of photos .
