One of few driving days in NZ, we spent the day crossing the south island from Franz Josef to Kaikoura, via the stunning Arthurs Pass (which we have no pictures of!). It was a pretty uneventful journey, except for the scenery, although we did encounter a few cheeky Kea on the way.  First place goes to the fecker who landed on the car and pecked at the wing mirror and the roof – in fact given enough time I'm pretty sure they’d eat your whole car.
