Where I stayed
Royal Guest House
After 2 weeks helping look after 40 kids we were ready for a couple of days chilling out, although i have to say we were quite sad on the Sunday morning knowing that we weren't heading over to the house to see them. Nevertheless we headed from Jorpati to Thamel for the tourist bus. It took an easy 7 hours with hardly any stops and we were in a quiet, relatively pollution free city on a lake. Lovely! And then we did absolutely nothing! For 2 whole days! That would be it for the blog entry, except Kevin out did himself on the second evening and i thought it was worth a mention... After our second heavy-ish night drinking of the whole holiday we had a little bit of a tiff so when we got back to the room i went out onto the balcony with the laptop. Kevin went inside the bedroom, closed the door and locked it, apparently to make sure the door stayed shut, and "sat at the end of the bed waiting for me to finish". He promptly passed out and i was stuck outside trying to wake him up. I enlisted the help of those at home to see if they could ring his mobile, banged on the door yelling his name and even attempted to climb through the bathroom window - i didn't fit! An hour later when i managed to get him to let me in, he simply wouldn't believe me that he'd locked me out!
On our last day we decided we should stop being so lazy and went for a great walk up to the World Peace Pagoda. As on the trek, we were extremely lucky with the weather and got fantastic views of the Annapurna mountain range. I think exploring that range will be our next port of call next time we're in Nepal!

Comments
Kevin - you did lock her out, and I texted you to prove it. Hard evidence my friend, no arguing with that!
Daft sods.
