Agra to Jaipur was our first experience of Indian sleeper train and it wasn't really all that bad. We went for 3AC class where as the name suggests bunks are stacked 3 high and you get AC! You are given bedding and when we we got on there were a few people already asleep. We could only find one pillow between our bedding so I set up to use a spare blanket. An Indian couple had got on with us and the man started waking everyone up looking for what I assumed was his missing pillow also as he started pulling pillows out from under peoples heads to see if they had 2 and getting pretty scorpy. A few minutes later as Liz found the extra pillow under her feet and handed it to me I noticed he already had one and must have been waking people up to try and find our missing pillow! Way to endear yourself to the locals.

Jaipur is another pretty hectic Indian town with a lot of history and plenty of pushy rickshaw drivers. We did end up putting our faith in one driver, Amar, and let him take us around for the day. This involved a trip out to the impressive Amber fort (see pics) among other things, but of course included the obligatory stops in his "friends/cousins/brothers" textile/jewellery/gemstone business. A nice pic of Liz in a sari below but unfortunately we did end up buying some stuff and will have to wait quite a while to check the quality as we got it sent home! They can be pretty good salesman if you let your guard down.
