We had an interesting ( free) guided tour around Government House (the New South Wales Government) where their first female governor works and it was fascinating to see the similarities and differences to the UK. Beautiful grounds and right next door to the extensive and majestic botanical gardens with a huge variety of plants and trees. Have a great lunch in the gardens and a ride on a small road train, as we are trying as many forms of transport as possible during our trip.
We then met up with Dave for dinner, prior to Liz and Daves climb of sydney harbour bridge.........fantastic!! Not as difficult physically as I had imagined or as scary. The views were wonderful, it was a clear, calm night (21 degrees) and we had a good length of time on the main part of the bridge. Sadly you are not able to take anything up,with you, so. O pictures until we return home and are able to download the cd.
Yesterday we went to Manly beach by ferry and Liz had her first proper swim; strong waves ideal, for all the surfers! We met up with Bob Bean on our return from Manly and a few drinks were imbibed, as it was happy 2 hours!!
Out last day in Sydney today - going to the Maritime museum and then to Victoria and Robertos with Alison, Dave and Bob for dinner.
More from New Zealand but as we are staying only 2 or 3 nights in each place, the blog may be a little shorter!!

New Zealand is wonderful. So relaxed and friendly. Enjoy yourselves and hopefully you will see some alpacas in the fields as you drive around. Have fun. x
