Where I stayed
My second visit to SF, we stayed over the bay this time in the burbs, was much cheaper than the city with bus at the door, $8 return. We walked our feet off the first day and were lucky to see The Oracle train in the bay USA,s boat entry in the Americas Cup. Made good use of the trams, revisited The Haigh. It is such a quirky place but so sad to see all the homeless, so many young ones.
The weather has been perfect but now heading up into the redwoods so expectin it to get cooler. We arrived in a place called Eureka this afternoon, north California. This town is scary, so many ferrals, there was a huge drug bust here today. We had to stay as it was getting late. I am used to roughing it, but some of the motels were like drug dens. We found a reasonable one and luckily had got groceries as we have locked ourselves in, not going anywhere. Will be out of here first thing. The redwoods are so big, we are heading for the national park tomorrow to do some hiking before heading into Oregon.

Sounds hairy, Scott said it wasn't like that when he was there. Said it was much nicer than Portland. Guessing you're on the move now xx
