North Cape is the northernmost point of mainland Europe. A desolate place with quickly changing weather conditions. It was sunny when we arrived in the morning. By the time we had taken the tender boat to the shore and the coach to North Cape a storm was brewing. We stopped at a Sami house with gift shop and saw a Sami native with reindeer and a traditional Sami dwelling though we noticed that a smart car was parked outside and suspected that the Sami couple had a much more modern dwelling to live in when the tourists disappeared! On our way to North Cape we saw a lot of reindeer grazing freely on the open common land.
