Still the gale force winds blow but we manage to drop anchor in the bay at
Grand Cayman. Not that it was really worth visiting. The island has the highest cost of living in the Caribbean - higher than UK. The capital town was full of banks and international consultancy firms' offices though there is a picturesque main square with some very good statues (especially the women's aspiration one) and an old rather charming clock tower at one end. Otherwise nothing much to see, nice beaches and lots of expensive jewellery for sale. Not my favorite place on the cruise.
