Hi All,

Liz said I shouldnīt write one yet cause we donīt have much to say, but Iīm pretty excited about tomorrow, so I thought I would give everyone an update.

We showed up in Temuco yesterday afternoon right when it started raining. We put on our wet weather gear and started the search for a place to stay. Luckily we found a pretty decent place pretty quick, without much help from our guide book. Seems whenever you actually try to find the places in the guidebook, for some reason they arenīt there. Anyway we managed to walk around all of Temuco in about 30 mins and decided there wasnīt much to do, especially on a Sun. night. At the hostel we were staying at there was a very informative canadian who told us if we want to see a really nice park we should go to this one called Ļsome word I canīt pronounce or spell, but starts with an HĻ. So we say that Pucon is near there and the book said it was nice, if a bit touristy, and we thought thatīs the ticket, somewhere were people can actually understand us. So we got a bus ticket today and found a great hostel with a wonderful host named Claudio. We have already booked a tour to climb an active Volcano tomorrow (you can peer into the crater and see the lava flow(gas mask included)), and maybe weīll go rafting the next day. As you can tell Pucon, is definitely turning out to be a great place. We even had a whole conversation in english at the hostel this afternoon.

Also if any of you were wondering why we skipped Patagonia itīs because when we finally got to Santiago the plane tickets turned out to be way out of our budget ($250), so we bought a $10 bus ticket to Temuco instead. Kind of a bummer, but Pucon is great.

Achai and Liz
