Where I stayed
Six major rivers flow into the Pacific Ocean on this part of Highway 101 in Oregon and it feels like they crashed! The first storm of the Fall arrived - it is so wild with rapidly changing weather by the hour that we got very, very wet! A hot bath would have been very welcome today - instead the sun came out again and it felt as if the 70 degree mark had been hit once again.
Decided to extend our stay here for one more night - where else can we hear the pounding waves, walk on an empty beach, build driftwood sculptures, walk around town and get strong signal for data and phone? Nowhere! We even have our own lighthouse right in front of us - we sat up there today and reflected.
Over the next few days will be driving due East - most likely in heavy rain and wind.
