As much as i like Peru i think it been hit with the tourist virus really bad!! Everything is catered for the tourist, even some tours i went on in small towns the folks put on shows they have done a million times and obvioulsy not enjoying themselves! unfortunate.......

One tourist attraction not be missed though is the Sand dune buggy riding and sandboarding. Huacachina is an Oasis, you really appreciate it when looking down upon it from a Sand Dune. You are taken up in these wicked 7 seater buggies and spend 2 hours riding the dunes in the buggy and on a sandboard (or in my case on your butt!!!). I managed to snap a snowboard in half!!! Unfortunately the whole ride didnt end too well when our buggy got a flat and we got back an hour late in the cold!!! Not their fault i guess, i still recommend Bananas as a comapny to do it with.

HOT TIPS for travellers:
(1) Book your tour directly at bananas office to save 5 soles.
(2) Dont be concerned with buses from Ica to Lima, then run every 6 minutes!!! The trip is 4.5 hours. Ask the cab driver to take you to the company called Soyuz, the trip will cost 17 soles.

Transport
I first thought you were over exaggerating when you told me about your bad luck with transportation....

After having been travelling with you... I guess I have to start believing you... the tier of the van that got fire... the flat tier during a tour a week later, and now even your buggy broke down? Hm,mmm, your right, you do have bad luck with transportation!

To all other travellers, dont you worrie, the transportation in South America is not the best in the world... but as bad as this it isnt!... hope you all have more luck than this!
