Arrived in Uruguays capital at 5:30am after a 5.5 hour bus ride from Salto. After a few minor hiccups looking for a hotel i managed to find a place to lay my head for the night. I dumped my bags freshened up and made my way to the Cathedral for the 9am mass only to find it was at 11am. Did some email and had breakfast and went back at 11am. The service was packed! Turns out the Archbishop was doing the service so all the Montevideans were dying to get in to buy their ticket to heaven!!! ;) The service was great, long but great. A baptism for a teenager was also done during the service which made it that much more exciting. I took off as people queued up to eat the holy bread as i had a city to see!!!
