What a fricken nightmare to get here......

Got off the bus from Puerto Alegre in Brasil at 7am after 6.5 hours on an uncomforatble bus. Asked a policewoman where the border was with a 2.5 klm response. So i put on the backpack and walked there only to find i had to go to the federal police for a brasil exit stamp which was a further 1 klm from the bus station.... you think the policewoman would have told me knowing i just got off a bus!!! Got my exit stamp and went back and got my entry stamp to Uruguay, i then found out that i couldnt get a bus into uruguay for 36 hours as a road was out and the buses that went the alternate way left at 4.30pm the next day!! The alternative was to get a Uruguay exit stamp and go back into brasil!!! So back i went to catch a bus in Brasil to the next border town.....
1.5 hours later i am on the border in Quarai and getting another entry stamp into Uruguay!!!
Caught a 3 hour bus to Salto which was my final destination arriving 20 hours after leaving Puerto Alegre!!!
Then another challenge...... accomodation during Easter weekend! After an hour of searching we found an old woman that let us use rooms in her house! She was lovely, we paid her well as she deserved it.
So now it is time to relax..... and what better relaxation than the Dayman thermal springs 45 minutes out of Salto. These springs produce 140,000 litres of water per hour from 2000 metres below ground to a maximum of 46 degrees. The area has many pools (like small modern swimming pools) that you can get in and out of, each of the pools has different temperature water..... very relaxing.
