Stef and I are due to move into our apartment today... Stef finished work at 12 so she could go and pick up the keys.. arrived to be told the date has changed to 9th October and we weren't notified. Thanks. Stef went up to see the apartment anyway and found a bomb site. The two girls that own it had only moved out yesterday and therefore it hasn't been professionally cleaned. She also hasn't replaced the dining room chairs like she said or left us new sheets for the beds that she promised. Oh what a mess.
Katie got here this weekend as well and has booked out of the hostel that she was staying at as she was due to move into my room with me and has now had to roam the streets of Brisbane in the hot sun in search of a new hostel as hers is now fully booked.
So...
HOW ANNOYING!!!
Paul (my boss from the Woolshed) is due to stop by on Tuesday night on his way down the coast before heading out to South America to as well. This is so inconvenient!!
Bless Murray (the site manager) though, he has offered for us all to stay at his unit for the night. I'm sure Charlotte won't mind us staying another night so we're not homeless but it's just sooooo annoying!!!
Anyway, needed to rant about it and the guys at work just aren't interested so I thought I would share it with all of you!! Plus I am bored. My job sucks and I can't access anything on the internet other than this site, therefore you guys will probably get loads of stupid updates because I am bored!!!
So anyway, hope you're all well and had a nice weekend. I met Katie and Stef for drinks after work at 5pm on Friday, then went back to Katie's got showered and changed and headed out for the night.. rolled in at 5.30am! So stayed at Katie's.
Got up in the afternoon, mooched round the shops and then went to the cinema on Saturday night to see Super Bad. It's as it sounds. Funny but random. Then headed to the Pig & Whistle pub which is in the middle of Queen's Street (centre street in Brisbane city) to watch the end of the rugby. As you know England won against Australia 12-10 so the English yobo's started chanting, jumping around and throwing beer everywhere. It was only a matter of time before it got ugly so we decided that was enough for one night and retreated back to Katie's for the night. (We went back Sunday for a drink and found out it all turned a bit nasty, seems we escaped at the right time!)
On Sunday we mooched round some more shops and then had a roast dinner at the down under bar. Nothing like a home cooked roast dinner, it was gross. A massive slab of hard turkey, the smallest baked potato you have seen in your life, extremely lumpy gravy and the driest steamed veg in the world... a bit like your cooking mum! Hahahaha!!! Then we sat on the balcony at Katie's hostel and watched a massive thunder storm, it was amazing... and amusing seeing everyone legging it through the rain in shorts and tiny tops that were rapidly going see-through!! The lightening lit up the whole sky which made the skyscrapers look even taller. The rain was like a tropical storm, it chucked it down so hard that it sounded like hail stones! The streets were drenched and the water was falling down the hilly roads like a stream leading to a lake. We just sat there in silence for about half an hour watching it. Then it stopped as soon as it started and it was muggy again.. this place makes so sense. Which is probably why I like it so much!
Anyway, I finally headed home for the first time since leaving for work on Friday morning at 9.30pm on Sunday!! What a dirty stop out!! I think Katie was pleased to get her top bunk back to herself and full use of her own make-up and washing stuff!! Ooooops, thanks Katus-Bagus.. that's what friends are for!! Hehehehe!!!!
So that was my weekend all in all! Really good to catch up with Katie, she's unsure of her plans at the moment as her aunty has sorted her out a job and an apartment in Sydney so she may head down there in a few weeks. She's in need of some money at the moment so she's going to stay for at least a few weeks.. woo hoo!! Although I'll be gutted when she goes again.. so my mission for these next weeks is to find Katie THE best job in the world so she doesn't leave me again!!!
Oh and find myself a better job while I'm at it!!
Anyway, I will write again soon with some more updates of what I am up to.. although I'm guessing nothing interesting will happen for a while. Working, working and paying all the bills. Home from home really, just a few vital people in my life missing L

You dont change mon amee do you !!!!! whats this pissee job you hate ???? How long will you stay in Australia for ? Yes we stuff the aussies at Rugby diddnt we , up there aussie asses , I loved it !!!! wish I had ve been there with you !!! Well missee I have just come back from a week in Turkey, I realy didnt want to come back !!!!! Next thing round the corner is Christmas where will you be ??? Miss you lots Jayne xxx
