Where I stayed
What I did
Sally Lunn's
Jane Austen Centre, Bath
Thankfully we found the Apple store and I got a replacement phone. However, we had to wait for my appointment so we decided to wander into nearby Debenhams. OMG!!!! Retail therapy of AWESOME!! I bought 2 new coats (they were on sale). Then we wandered around Bath for a few hours.
We heard the Olympians and Para-olympians would be touring central Bath so we made a quick stop at Sally Lunn's for a yummy hot chocolate and one of her famous buns then headed out to cheer the athletes. Then it was off to the Jane Austen Centre for a history lesson of her life and writings. I even got to dress up a little. Back to our accommodation via a quick stop at Pulteney Bridge then we were off to Kenilworth.
We stayed at a gorgeous B&B called Victoria Lodge in Kenilworth.
We quickly settle into our accommodation and then headed off to see Sezy before she jaunted off to New Zealand. I was 'greeted’ with a water assault by Sez, Lauren, Joey and Amy...Thanks guys!
We all then piled into our cars and headed to Stratford-Upon-Avon and wandered Shakespeare’s home turf. We walked along the River Avon, Theatre areas, church graveyard, visited Shakespeare’s birthplace and then headed to a local pub for a yummy farewell Sez dinner. Unfortunately it was POURING rain for much of this walk and Sez managed to come out worst off. This did not surprise me! :P
After dropping mum back at our accommodation, we headed back to Sezy’s and chatted for hours, joined by Hannah on Skype!
