MELBOURNE TO SINGAPORE

Here begins our European adventure, an adventure mum and I are feeling a little ill prepared for but are sure to get in our stride once we get there. I spent a LONG night packing my suitcase, I'd left it a little late, and repacking mums suitcase…she is yet to grasp the fine art of rolling your clothes ;) After very little sleep I awakened, did some last minute things around the house and soon enough mum and dad were at my door and time had run out so we headed out for a last minute Tim Tam and Cadbury Marvellous Chocolate run…priorities we have them. Then it was off to the airport, quick farewell to dad, through Customs and into our long awaited Qantas Lounge…it really is how everyone should travel ;)

Soon enough we were heading to our gate and onto our A380 on the way to Singapore. As we sat down a distinct waft of curry and BO accosted our olfactory senses and although it thankfully didn’t remain, we’re glad those responsible will be getting off in Singapore! I unloaded our bags of paraphernalia we’d need during the flight. I think I have a problem with technology, SO MANY CORDS lol No crying babies and travelling with mum is entertaining;

-That moment mum was confused for a few minutes when she couldn’t figure out who’d changed her remote not realising she’d turned it over and didn’t note the buttons were on both sides!

- That moment mum lived up to expectation and knocked a partially full can of Pepsi onto the floor, luckily it missed her handbag and there was no WAY we were going to rescue it! These seats on the A380 are awesome to recline in however, they are so close you can barely move to get in or out of your seat let aone pick something up from the floor.

- Mum climbed over the armrest SO awkwardly then realised after I pulled the armrest up, you could exit at least a little more gracefully

Then came the moment when the call came out for a medically trained person to assist. Did not sound good especially when 5 people went running down to the back of the plane.

Movies watched:

Wendy

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel – The jiggling shoulders and Laugh out loud moments indicated to me mum was enjoying this movie a lot!

Lisa

The Lucky One – WHEN DID ZACH EFRON GROW UP!!!! Not half bad J

Men In Black 3 – I love me some Will Smith J  Creepy alien  into/out of hand REALLY grossed me out.

Stargate SG1 – Lost City (Part 1-2)

Love the A380, so quiet. I watched Marigold Hotel too but had already seen the Lucky One. I went into a lounge for the first time too, the only way one could travel, especially if I could travel in a higher class.
