The Florida Keys are amazing, all these little sandbars basically joined by one massive road and many bridges. One bridge was 7 miles long, unbelievable, it must have taken years to build! Plenty of road works going on down there so the trip is slow and hot!
Unfortunately it was peak time down there and we couldnīt get any accommodation under $500 us dollars, which would definitely blow the budget so we had a great day playing then headed back to Miami.
Miami was exactly the same accommodation wise as it is the last weekend of spring break when most families travel there for the weekend therefore rates were sky high. Being the budget minded people we are and not wanting to stay in a dodgy flea pit (think New York) we took off back to Orlando much to the kids delight. We have great accommodation for the 4 days before we fly out in Miami so will get back down there to check everything out!
Orlando was even better the second time as we did nothing!!! We met a couple from Chester in England by the pool, Tania and Ian, who we may even camp with in Wales at the end of September! They suggested buying any summer clothes we needed over here as it is much cheaper, so I got to go shopping too! Although it seems spud is the one who ends up with all the clothes...whatīs that about???
We are all very excited about heading to Europe. We are going to stay with Chris, Sarah and Millie Lloyd for Saturday & Sunday nights then head to our camper on Monday. It will be great to catch up with them and have some home company for a couple of days along with fitting in Buckingham Palace (for Cam) and Harrods (Jordan). I just canīt wait for bangers and mash and a pint for lunch everyday!
