Easter was spent in Orlando and we went to Easter Sunday mass at the Shrine of Mary. It was a huge beautiful building that held 2500 people. Getting there with all that traffic was hectic. We went to the 9.30am mass this was just as the 2500 people who went to the 7.30am mass were just leaving! Then as we were leaving another 2500 people were arriving for the 11.30am mass! We even took Spud, who thought the priest was awesome and very up to date. Then a wonderful Easter Sunday by the pool, the kids playing all the games such as hula hooping contests (Cam won) and Belly flop contests (Jordan won).
Next day we hit Disneyworld. What a nightmare so many people, huge lines and our first fast pass we did in the morning would finally get us a ride on Space Mountain at 8.15pm that evening. The girls loved the day and the concept but the amount of people, the horrid food and the rides not really being much chop really put them off so hence they didn't want to go back to another theme park! They were content to stay poolside at the hotel and join in all the Heidi Hi games. Cam has made a couple of friends (surprise, surprise) so I don't really see her at all each day.
Grant and I have been playing tennis and I am happy to report my knee seems to be coping with the starting and stopping movements on the court.
We have actually been drinking more this week than we have the whole holiday, it has been like a wee holiday while on holiday, if that makes any sense. A strawberry daiquiri with lunch, a few beers poolside during the afternoon and a couple more beers after tennis then a bottle of wine with dinner and a couple of beers as a nightcap. I will be a little rotund keg when I get home!
Now we are heading way south to the Florida Keys for a bit of snorkeling and beach action before flying out in 9 days to the cold again, apparently 8 degrees in London! I don't know if I can handle it.
