Today was a pretty low key day and good thing after being out late last night. It was pouring as we left Prague so it was great timing. On our way out of Czech we stopped in the little town of Kutna Hora to see Sedlec Ossuary aka the bone church. The inside of this little church is completely decorated with human bones. It's creepy but something very cool and different to see. There is a bone chandelier, candle holders, coat of arms and just piles of skulls everywhere. There are an estimated 40,000-70,000 human skeletons around this little chapel. We had lunch in Kutna Hora and tried to get rid of all our Czech money which proved to be very hard to do when everything was so cheap and we were short on time. An orange and white cat wandered onto the patio where we were eating and I fell in love with one of the girls in our group because she fed half her lunch to the poor thing. It made me think of my kitties back home. We made one last stop right before crossing the border at Excalibur World. Its this amazing, little, tacky kids water/theme park with dragons, pirates and animals decorated everywhere. I loved it! Its like Vegas for kids. We finally arrived in Vienna and I was happy to be back among German speakers where I at least have a general idea of whats going on. We did a bit of shopping at this huge mall across the street but unfortunately it closed at 7 so we didn't see much. Our hotel is a giant pyramid and the room is bigger than we've had so far. The decor reminds me of the Golden Girls. There is even a little duck pond in the garden! We ate dinner at the hotel and Stefan tried something like ginger ale called, Almdudler. After dinner we headed down to the pool with some of the other couples. Its funny how we've all just naturally come together. There are 2 from the states and 1 from Saskatoon. We went into the sauna and the steam room and then jumped into the freezing cold water. It was horrible but it felt great afterwards!
