Wow...Macchu Picchu was fantastic unbelievable and spectacular...

Monday morning was an early start, we were picked up at 6.10 in the morning to catch the train to  Aguas Calientes, situate in the valley below MP. It was a 4 hour train ride in squashed seats but luckily for us there were not many people on the train up.The views were of mountain ranges on all sides and of a river on long the train track. Some of the peaks were covered in snow but it was quite  warm were we were. Lonely Pl anent is not very kind to Agus Calientes but our hotel overlooked the rapids and was quite pretty. The rest of  the town is mainly restaurants with hawkers trying to get you to eat there no matter what time it is.We walked up to where the entrance is for the hot springs but did not go in. We stopped for pizza for lunch as it was a choice of coy, alpaca or pizza pretty much in all the restaurants. After I went for a walk along the rapids.

The next day I surprised myself and was up for the 5.30 bus up to MP.Just like every picture you see but so big.It was very cloudy but I managed to get a spectacular picture of one of the snow peaks in the mist. While everyone else sat around waiting for sunrise I followed a path that took you to an Inca bridge. It was still too misty to see the bridge but it was so calm and peaceful.Only me and the birds chirping away. I did think, at one stage what if a puma decided to come out of the vegetation, what would I do? Panic most likely...

I met up with the others in the group at 8.30 to start the tour...words cannot describe the place and views...

After the tour I went back to AC with Bubbles and we sat in an upstairs restaurant and whiled away the time.Caught up with the rest of the group at the market and caught the 5 pm train back to Cuzco.

Wednesday was back to school and I helped with art and sport. Thursday was home visits to the community and Friday  we all went out for a night on the town. We had some salsa lessons at one place called Uptown then moved to another club till 3 am....slept most of Saturday! Sunday went to Pisac to do some more shopping with Liz Gary and Donna. Today was back to the school to help with kindy.... tonight I am backup to help the ladies of the community with their craft....will upload photos asap
