Anyways, after that we went to the capital, Suva.. and after a day, we had enough of the traffic and noise and smog and ton of people. So we went north to the next biggest island Vanau Levu. This required getting on a cockroach filled ferryboat and taking it overnight (10+ hours in total). There we stayed a this gorgeous small city called Savusavu, and hung out there for a few days. We rented kayaks, and visted a 1000$ a night resort, which has its own private mini island. There we met a family who was from California, who gave us food. They were rich. They were good friends of Robin Williams because their kids went to school with them. Anyways we also went for a hike to yet another waterfall which was supposed to be a half hour thing, but ended up being a half day thing ( we were pointed in the wrong direction, walked down a huge hill , found out it wasn’t it, went back up, hung out at a bus stop, hitch hiked up another hill, found the place, but turned out the water fall was closed for renovations (????) and then ended up missing the only bus back to town, and forced to hitch hike back). Yep. It was quite the adventure.
