So my brother Luke came to visit from London for my birthday. I organised a party at home - on the ground floor of my apartment building is a series of entertainments suites: a dining room/bar, pool room and a home cinema. Invite said "Cocktails and Line Dancing" because after the party at mine, I got as many as I could, to come to Cowboys....
As you can see from the snaps I wore the Vegas wig, thinking I could be incognito if I got in trouble - but when I got to Cowboys every barman and security guy I saw, recognised me immediately. So much for that plan...And a little while later I did insist that all the twenty cops that turned up, each wished me a happy birthday. Luckily the worst thing to happen all night was getting covered in champaign...sigh...
The weekend after my birthday I drove us to Banff (in a red Mustang convertible - oh yes) to get a look at the 'wilderness'. Obviously to a Canadian that isn't wilderness, but to a Londoner it was pretty decent! Didn't stay in Banff long, but the scenery was spectacular and the hotel was like a resort i.e. hot springs and spas, indoor bowling and cinema, restaurants, bars, shops etc. Definitely recommend it - called the Banff Springs
