On our way to New Orleans we stopped in Grenada and Jackson before driving through Kentwood, Louisiana where Britney Spears is from.  After arriving in New Orleans we went for a walk along Bourbon Street and went out for dinner at Bubba Gump's before going into one of the clubs and saw a blues quartet.  They were really good! The party atmosphere along Bourbon Street was huge, there were beads flying everywhere, people with drinks everywhere but on the downside the entire street smelt like vomit.  It was disgusting!

We also said goodbye to Mel, Jess and Gill who left the tour in New Orleans :(

Oct 16th - Today we walked along Bourbon Street and shopped at the French Markets before we met up with the rest of the tour for the Air boat tour of a bayou just outside of New Orleans.  The tour was fantastic, we saw heaps of alligators, some squirrels and a raccoon, and even got to touch a baby alligator that our guide caught!  It was so much fun!



For dinner we went on a Steamboat along the Mississippi River.  There wasn't a lot to see along the river though...
