We hit the slopes and after a couple of warm up runs...we were warming up!! We didn't quite get down to only t-shirts but pretty close! We couldn't ask for better weather!!
Al did amazingly well considering he hadn't skied for 6 years..only a couple of stacks...mostly in the arvo as his legs were giving up!! We all fell over...Phin and Alex collided, Phin stacked it when trying to ditch snowballs at Alex...Alex did the same. The afternoon rest involved a bottle of wine and some sweet potato fries by the fireplace...except it wasn't après ski as we went back out for a couple more runs as the sun was setting - pretty magic!! On the final run of the afternoon Alex and I attempted a jump..the jump went well..the landing not so much!!
Back home for Thai food and a movie night....what a day!!
April 7 Update
Lisa: Is super excited about the imminent arrival of our first Perth friend in 4months...Alex!! Woohoo!! Skiing tomorrow at Cypress mountain! Weather forecast is for a perfect sunny day with panoramic views of Vancouver!"
