We are staying here till Monday. Today we went to Big Cat Rescue.  These guys are nearly all from abused homes.  I find it ludicrous that they are allowed to be kept as pets here.  Loved the tour.   Highly recommend if you are in this area.  Although I hate the idea of them being in cages, in this case it is the only option left for them.  Some have been de-clawed and/or de-fanged and are not able to be put with other big cats of the same species, as they have no way to defend themselves.  They all had nice enclosures with activities to keep them mentally stimulated.  Each of the big cats had a sad tale behind them.  Unfortunately due to the heat, not all the cats were out.

If you can donate go here BIG CAT RESCUE

Or if you are in the USA, ring your elected representative and ask them to co-sponsor H.R 4122.  To get them to back the banning of breeding and keeping exotic animals as pets. Kathy, Peter and I, all made the call.  Didn't you know I was Linley from Arizona? ;)

Was pleased to see ISF is backing this law change too!  Go Ian Somerhalder!  You rock!

Check out my photos!  Pussy cat heaven! And Banjo the honorary cat was pretty darn cute too.

Love the cats - they are SO beautiful! So regal. Can't imagine how anyone could abuse or neglect such gorgeous creatures. People who think they can keep them as tame pets are idiots, for sure.

Cuties!!! Geez, what a jerk must one be to harm these magnificent animals :P That's so sad and all sort of unfair :((
It's good they have a good home now, though. You're right, cages are not the best solution but I'm sure the guys like them better than what they had.
