4am – Chuck clothes in bag. Just make the shuttle to LAX as it is pulling away from hotel.  Final report time was 6.05am and it was all self-service.  Machine kept rejecting my passport.  The people giving out the baggage stickers were of no help at all.

"Hello, I can't get my ticket'.
“Get your ticket from the machine Ma’am"
Repeat that shit for 30 minutes.  Until someone finally gave me a code that worked.  5 mins to spare till final check in time and it finally spits out a freaken boarding pass.  Not far off a total melt down by this stage.

Finally get to my gate about 7.15am after security aaand.. flight delayed till 8.15am.  Still no coffee in system.  The lines coming out of starbucks are not exactly short.  Finally get on plane.  Sit on tarmac till 9.30am.  Take off and.. cOffeee at about 10am which doesn’t even touch the sides.  With hardly any sleep the last two nights I end up nodding off for about an hour.  I think I missed lunch.  Because I never seen any.  Still hadn’t had anything to eat yet.  Finally arrived at Newark at about 5pm.. sort of.  We circle and circle and circle.  I lost count after ten circles.  Just as well, no lunch, because I possibly may of lost it about now.

View of Santa Monica mountains (I think!).   Nice views from the plane all the way (when I wasn’t nodding off like an old person).

Landed finally.  Probably the worst landing ever!  There was a slight wind but they all seemed to be freaking out about it.  I’ve come into Wellington sideways and had a better landing than that.

Yay, my old bag, KK is waiting at the baggage!  Yankee beetch rocks.  Whoop!

Kathy, Peter and I go and get some Indian/Chinese dinner (so hot, it nearly knocks my socks off).  First meal I have eaten all day though and it is very welcome.

We stayed in a part of town that is sort of like the Indian community.  The hotel is quite old but has been done up.  Nice hotel.  Kathy as always, has looked after me and started stashing sugar.  A stash of sugar and coffee for me!  I like New Jersey.  Love the funny skinny old tall houses.  They are full of character.

Airport intercom differences.  I found this rather amusing.  Auckland – Welcome to Auckland International Airport. Please don’t leave your baggage unattended.  LAX – Welcome to Los Angeles International Airport.  Ensure you have eye contact with your baggage at all times.  Is my bag meant to be looking back at me?  Might have to stick some wee googly eyes on it, so it can maintain eye contact with me.  Funny differences in the way we interpret things I guess.

Later!  Sorry, bad day ya know.  Y'all come back now! :D

Warning!  NY next blog. Buildings! Tall buildings! Lotsa tall buildings! And funny people!  Can't help myself.  Just too interesting. X

LOL at the eye contact with your bags thing! You definitely need to find some googly eyes for your bag!

Bwahahahaha - LOVE the comment about the eye contact with your bag - that is hilarious! And definitely a ridiculous way for them to word it. Hahahaha! I may have to buy you some googly eyes for your flight back. ;P

I can just see your face, trying to get your ticket... LOL

LMAO
You should get some cool sunglasses for your bag so that it could look back at you even with all that awesomeness you're radiating xD
