Singapore is 63 islands of shopping on steroids. Famous Orchard Row is not to be believed. Every building is several stories of an upscale mall. It's overwhelming. Luckily I'm not in the Dior or Rolex bracket so walking by the glitter is easy. Makes for great people watching though. Orchard Row high-rise malls make the Mall of America look like downtown Hazelhurst, Wi.

It is now Sunday morning and Carmen and I are sitting outside at a Starbucks catching up. It's about 70 degrees but no doubt will heat up. I'll post photos of a fun day yesterday in Chinatown. A highlight was seeing the Chinese Cultural Center. We also were invited into a tea shop by some very friendly group as you see by a photo. Food is fabulous and choices are endless!

Jet lag has not posed a great deal of difficulty. Probably the excitement of it all is keeping me pumped. Carmen and I are getting along fabulously although she claims I snored last night.....a little.....very softly....once.

Oh Aunt Winna, only snoring a little teeny bit? I hope you're having the time of your life (as I know you are). Pet an elephant for me!
