We were off to the airport at 5:08, not that I'm compulsive about numbers or anything. We got to the airport in plenty of time and parked in the Red Lot, 9A.  When we checked our bags the girl at the counter asked if I was a teacher at St. Matthias.  I asked her name but she said she never had me.  She was in 5th the year I left.  She said her cousin, Brandon K, still said I was his favorite teacher.  It is a small world.  It took a while to get through  security but we still had time to get a muffin, OJ and coffee at Starbucks and have breakfast.  They were calling our flight just as we finished.  Our flight to Minneapolis was uneventful.  We got in early, found our next gate and were off in about an hour.  The flight to Seattle went smoothly and quickly as I slept part of the way.  We came in from the north and flew right over Lake Sammamish, then turned and came in from the south.  We arrived on time and I texted Erin that we had landed.  She texted back that she was watching our flight path on the Internet.  We got our baggage and took the bus to the new Rental Car Facility.  It took Larry half an hour to get through the line at Advantage.  Other than that the new facility was great.  Once we had everything in order we took an elevator to the floor of the garage where our car was located and took off for Bellevue.

I texted Erin again when we left the airport.  It didn’t take us long to get to Bellevue as we could use the commuter lane.  We got off at 4th and found the bank where  we used to drop Erin off for work before she moved buildings.  I called Erin and she brought us the key to her condo.  We were starving so she recommended "Dog in the Park."  So we went there for a hot dog, chips, and pop.  It was a really good hotdog.  We enjoyed sitting outside in the 72 degrees to eat our lunch.  Our next stop was QFC, the equivalent of Kroger, to get groceries for supper and our trip to Leavenworth.  When we got to Erin’s, I started the roast.  Then we had a few minutes to catch our breath and rest before I had to start the rest of supper.  I made roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, gravy and peas, Erin’s favorite meal.  Erin got home shortly after 5:00 and John got there about 6:00.  He is a very nice young man and we had a pleasant meal and conversation.  He was easy to be with.  We talked for a long while until I was getting really tired and we needed to clean up from supper.  I made a Shepherd’s Pie with the leftovers and put it in the freezer for Erin for later.  Erin did the dishes while Larry and I visited some more with John.  We finally broke it up about 10:00.  We were in bed by 10:30.    We had been up for over 20 hours.

You forgot to mention that you made the best gravy ever! John thought so too!
