Today we woke up at 8:50 and got dressed and went to breakfast.  We each had a waffle for breakfast.  After breakfast we were all on our computers.  I finally got my blogs posted after three days of no internet or slow internet.  I finally discovered that I could upload my pictures with the basic uploader with no problems.  The speedy uploader kept getting hung up.  The only problem with the basic version is that it only lets you upload five pictures at a time.  Larry and Derek were on their computers most of the morning too.  We left for Teri and Doug's about 11:30 and when we arrived they were all ready to go and standing in the driveway.  We went inside and fixed sandwiches for lunch and Derek and Larry put on their swim suits.  I already had mine on.  We packed up Doug's car and piled in for the 10 minute ride to Lake Belew (blue).  We carried all of our gear out to the pontoon boat while Doug got the cover off.  They have a really nice, new pontoon boat that they just got this year.

Today was another beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky and highs in the 70s.  First we took a tour of about half of the lake looking at all the neat houses.  We went by the Duke Coal Fired Power Plant which had four towers but only two of them are in use.  They are new ones and the other two are old ones that had to be upgraded.  When we came to the first bridge across the lake, we turned around and headed back the way we came.  Doug said we could make it under that bridge but not the next one without taking the top off.  We were almost all the way back and near the dam when Doug pulled into "their cove" and we lowered the anchor.  Then we broke out the drinks and had our lunch.  In addition to our sandwiches, Teri had packed Fritos and caramel corn.  We spent the afternoon anchored in the same spot, talking and relaxing.  We never did get in to swim.  It was just a little bit too chilly.  We moved the boat once when the shade overtook us.  It was chilly in the shade and chilly when we headed back to the dock about 4:30.  We docked the boat and Doug and Derek snapped the cover back into place.  They will keep the boat on the water until Dec. 1 and put it back on the water March 1.

We all changed clothes when we got back to Doug and Teri's and headed to supper at the Fatz Cafe.  This is Doug's current favorite place to eat out and we could see why.  When we were seated our waiter, Malcolm, asked us if we would like a sample of the Calabash Chicken and we said yes.  He brought us our drinks and the chicken which was very moist and tasty.  Then he brought us some bread in the form of a little dough ball on which you put cinnamon butter.  It was like eating a fresh doughnut.  We ordered and Doug and Derek had Fatz Favortie Fish.  Teri and Larry had Chicken Calabash and Ribs. I had Parmesan Encrusted Basa (fish).   Larry got grits for his side, the rest of us got the cinnamon apples which was like hot apple pie without the crust.  It was a very tasty and pleasant meal.  We lingered a little afterwards as our time with Doug and Teri was coming to an end.  We said good bye in the parking lot and headed back to the Sleep Inn.  I wrote the blog, we read and later we plan to try to skype Erin.
